Kronos

Kronia Communications is a small private research publishing company that is collecting and distributing material about catastrophist science. There is a growing number of researchers that find it difficult to gain access for their discoveries in the standard journals and debate forums. The contributors to THOTH are doctorates, engineers, mathemeticians, astronomers and historians; many currently teaching in universities, who cannot publish their more revolutionary findings via normal academic channels.

Kronia Communications attempts to raise questions and offer debate over many subject areas, Questions such as:

1. Why are ALL impact craters on planets, moons and asteroids circular rather than a distribution of oval shapes with some being cirucular but most being oval (or even linear-grazing) reflecting a variety of random impact angles? The universality of circular impact craters would imply that every impacting object's trajectory would have to have been perpendicular to the surface. Given the spherical shape of most moons and planets, this is an impossible distribution pattern. What cratering mechanism could account for this glaring anomaly?
2. What does the 900 degree surface temperature of Venus tell us about the history of the planet? Why was Venus universally the compulsive object of fear and veneration by ALL ancient civilizations? Will the so-called "super greenhouse" theory and other uniformitarian assumptions answer the many difficulties Venus present us? Has Venus been slowly cooling and quietly evolving like the other planets over a period of 4+ billion years?
3. Why did every ancient civilization celebrate a former "Age of the Gods?" What was the lost "Golden Age" or "Garden of Eden"; remembered around the world? What events inspired the global story of a world-ending catastrophe? Why did ancient astronomers record the visible planets as gigantic, fear-inspiring and often-violent powers in the sky, universally naming their gods after them?
4. Why do muscle tissue analysis and muscle strength scaling computations render the giant sauropods, such as the brontosaur, the supersaur and the ultrasaur, show that such sizes would be impossible to sustain under earth's current gravity? What are the hydraulic problems inmaintaining coronary circulation and what are the cantelever stress problems in such long necked and heavy creatures?
5. How did the archetypal fear of a "Doomsday Comet" arise among all ancient nations? Why did both Old and New World astronomers insist the planet Mars was a great warrior whose battles once shook the heavens? Why did every ancient culture remember a "Cosmic Serpent" or "Fiery Dragon" attacking the world and throwing the heavens into chaos? Why, in ancient times, was the planet Saturn called the "Sun?" Why was the moon not worshipped in the primary pantheons of the ancient civilizations? Why, among the five visible planets, was Venus universally singled out as the "Mother Goddess?"
6. Is it possible that the history of the Earth is far more catastrophic than anything suggested in our textbooks? The original stargazers studied the heavens for portents of doomsday. What was the universal experience suffered by the world's early civilzations that was reflected in their myths about the gods waging war in the sky and visiting the inhabitants of Earth their wrath? Why were ALL the primary religions dedicated to PLANETARY dieties? The Greco- Roman PLANET-NAMED pantheon- Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Mercury- was echoed in the pantheons of Egypt, Sumaria, Akkadia, Babylonia, China, Mesoamerica, India, Crete, Australia, Oceania, Scandanavia and many more. Why?
7. Why do archaeologists and antrhopoligists refuse to face the evidence in their own hands- that destruction once shattered all the great ancient civilizations. Mysterious and precipitous terminations of dynasties, civilizations and cities litter the archaeological landscape and are not easily resolved by popular theories of localized ecological difficulties. Stories such as the Biblical flood story is one of hundreds handed down to us in the myths and religions of ancient peoples around the world. Why is this glaring and inescapable evidence being kept from academic dialog and public debate?
8. Jung, Freud and many other investigators recognized that many human experiences were universal but they were repressed or force-forgotten. Is it possible that humanity has for millennia been acting out the repressed species-memory of a sequence of incredibly catastrophic ancient events that overtook this planet? It is known that the memory of trauma is repressed in human psychology. Can that process be scaled-up to entire populations? Would we not have to look for remnants of the repressed events in the the common symbolic attributes of human folklore, the violence associated with ancient religious practices and the acting out of human pathology in warfare and the often destructive struggle over scarce raw materials?

What we have concluded from exploring the above questions is that the birth of astronomy, the mother of science, was not the outgrowth of mere curiosity or the need to plot navigation or architectural coordinates. Astronomy was born from the worried minds of humans fixated on the motions of the planets for a very simple reason- they had played a part in the near destruction of humanity, laying waste to vast regions of the Earth in a series of catastrophic events recorded not only in the geological, archaeological and astronomical record, but in the vast body of collected and researched primary religious myths of the great early civilizations. The incredible incidences of similarity in theme and observation presented in the myths of the ancient cultures, all tell of a time of "doomsday" when the "golden age" came to and end, and then describe an incredible series of cataclysmic events presided over by a pantheon of warring gods, visiting wrath and destruction upon one another and upon humankind.

The 18th and 19th century archaeologists could make no sense of unearthed and translated accounts of creation and destruction recorded by the ancestors of the early agricultural and trader civilizations. In those myths, celestial phenomena were described that are incomprehensible to us unless we assume that the builders of early civilizations- architects of cities, sailing ships, canal systems, trading routes and their support bureaucracies and armies, were at the same time utterly insane. Otherwise their claims must be taken seriously. Claims that the rulers of heaven and the destinies of men were planets, their namesake dieties raining fire and gravel on the earth, as well as wreaking such globally experienced phenomena as choking dust, hurricane winds, deluges, earthquakes, vulcanism, massive sky-spanning lightning displays, months of darkness, the rending of continents, the dispersal of nations, and the overthrow of dynasties.

We have a very protected version of our history, guarded by social engineer factions and status-quo bureaucracies unable to withstand challenges against "big science" by a rigorous application of the scientific method, itself. Slowly coming to light is a growing body of observation which cannot be fit into current doctrine and, in fact, threatens to overthrow that doctrine. It is blatant to the degree that even data coming back from the recent Jupiter probe forced NASA to state, in its press release, that we will have to rethink the foundations of our knowledge about the formation of the solar system.
A revolution in thought about our history and the cosmos has been brewing in the background for several generations, its researchers gathering and evaluating anamalous evidence across numerous disciplines. Current interest about meteor and comet bombardment is the tip of the iceberg. The lid is about to blow.

We cannot fully understand how we got "here" from "there" without examining the evidence that this corner of the Universe is a stage for violent events science has yet to comprehend.
1. Comet and meteorite impact danger, frequency and history
2. Ancient records and evidence of impact and flyby events
3. Catastrophic undercurrents in ancient mythology and religion
4. Scientific anomalies and obstacles to their research and understanding.
5. Distinguishing between cutting edge science and manipulative kookery.
6. New trends in contemporary archaeology, paleontology and astronomy

In recent decades we have seen many revolutionary scientific theories struggle towards acceptance. New theories about impact event extinctions, plate tectonics, planetary composition and formation, ice age causation, prehistoric human migratory patterns and many others, were recently considered heretical and faced difficulty in gaining an audience and being judged fairly. Many of the more important debates in science today are about what gets published and what is allowed into the public consciousness. One of the more controversial debates is about an interpretation of history and geology known traditionally as "catastrophism" that dates back to the emergence of archaeology and geology as sciences in the late 1700's. The catastrophist outlook was pushed into the background by the "uniformitarian" point of view for various political and philosophical reasons. Catastrophism basically assumes that the regular geological and astronomical processes we see in operation today were not always in such predictable operation. Much well-documented evidence contradicts the uniformitarian position. The current debate about comet and meteor impact dangers, publicized in numerous recent TV programs and magazine articles, are bringing the old rivalry between uniformitarians and catastrophists back into the spotlight.
