Yellow Hammer

A bird of ill omen associated with negative energies and the Devil. The egg markings are believed traditionally to have been made by the Devil (its master). As a result the yellowhammer was once hunted and killed. The eggs and nests were frequently destroyed to ensure that misfortune and evil forces would be overthrown.
